Welcome to this week’s Kalempirion write-up, your go-to place for all the latest news from Kalempirion Studios 13 and the artistic world as a whole.
Lots of topics this week so let’s dive straight into the thick of it!
If this is your first visit here, I welcome you, my friend, and I commend your choice in reading material. Welcome to Kalempirion. From the greek words “kalos” meaning “good” and “empiria” meaning “experience”, you are here for the Good Experience, or, for the more philosophically-minded of you, the “Experience of Good”.
The studio’s main activity is Game Development and publishing, as illustrated by the latest game released here, “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz” (more on this later). However, the studio’s activity does expand in multiple artistic domains, such as music, with the Kalempirion label “Veritas Per Artem”.
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the amazing feedback on “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz”. It’s very humbling to see people playing the game and enjoying it. Massive thanks to the youtubers that even made videos of their playthroughs.
The good news doesn’t stop here, as the Kalempirion community is growing by the day! Huge thanks to all of the new subscribers on YouTube (almost 100 in a few weeks!) and to the awesome people that joined the Kalempirion discord. You can join our discord too by using this link.
Finally, I’m happy to announce that Kalempirion Studios 13 is now a part of the RGDA, the Romanian Game Developers Association, and by extension, a part of the EGDF, the European Game Developer Federation.
A non-profit organization whose purpose is to support and promote the Romanian video game developers market into making them more successful and profitable on the internal and international market.
The European Games Developer Federation e.f. (EGDF) unites 24 national trade associations representing game developer studios based in 22 European countries. Through its members, EGDF represents more than 2,500 game developer studios, most of them SMEs, employing more than 40,000 people.
The big one! Pre-production for the Dunes of Raeth Saga RPG is officially over. I am truly excited to begin the production of this massive game, which will be a huge step up from the previous releases here at the studio. The full project will be officially revealed to the general public towards the end of the Summer of 2025.
Massive changes will occur to the current “Dunes Of Raeth” product page on Steam, as the current project’s scope is so much bigger and deeper compared to the original. A devlog series already exists on the Studio’s YouTube channel, and a monthly written devlog will also be kickstarted this month on the website (in the Devlog section above).
The first full-game released and published by the Studio, A Session with Dr. Liebnitz is an exploration game taking place in the mind of the playable character. If you haven’t tried it out yet, be sure to give it a go!
Even though, at the moment, no further expansion or DLCs are planned for this game, I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be posting the full, official soundtrack on YouTube on the Official Kalempirion Studios 13 YouTube account.
The official musical label of Kalempirion Studios 13. I’m excited to announce that some fresh blood will be pumping in the veins of this fantastic project, really soon! A massive comeback from Aleexar is on the horizon, a DAC collab and perhaps, a truly historic collab on the horizon too!
You can learn more about the label’s activities on the Veritas Per Artem website, right here.
That’s it for this week. Hope you’re all having an amazing start to your summer or winter if you’re hailing from the Southern Hemisphere. Enjoy the sun, have some fun and I’ll be catching you on the Studio’s socials!
