Weekly Dose of Kalempirion - 25.06.2025

New KS13 projects, new VPA projects…this has been an INTENSE week!

First, let’s talk Dunes of Raeth!

  • Project Updates

First, the good news. Made some great progress with the Map functionality and solved some HUGE issues concerning optimization, time of development and general gameplay. The open-world development using World Partition in UE5 is something my laptop is just unable to handle for big 4-8k maps at this point in time. However, by working on multiple smaller maps and using the good old-fashioned level streaming, these issues are now a thing of the past!
Happy to report that the trailer and project reveal timeline is being respected. Currently looking to have a trailer for the reveal of the game title and general information done by JULY of 2025. Let’s see how that goes!
The…less good news is that, for now, the gameplay development for the project is going to be put on hold for a couple of weeks. This means that I will be mainly focusing on developing the art style and environment for the next few weeks.  This is because of some ground-breaking studio news concerning the INEXORABLE project!!!

  • Inexorable Updates

If you’re new around here, you might not know about the Inexorable demo, a project I started at the studio over a year ago. The game was going to be a story-driven FPS game with some light puzzle elements.
The project has been on hiatus for several months now. HOWEVER, I am excited to announce that work has RESUMED on the Inexorable project.

Since Dunes of Raeth has been re-scoped…and the game now is set to be a massive, open-world (ish) first-person RPG, Inexorable is going to have to go through some re-scoping of its own! I am looking forward to share some more info on this project as time goes by. The main reason behind the sudden resurgence of this project has to do with my desire to learn and enhance my C++ coding abilities. I’m looking forward to learning a lot about AI systems…complex loot and economies…etc…
This will all be done in the scope of this wonderful project that I’m really excited to be undertaking. I will be providing some regular updates on the website ONLY (for now) for this project, as I’m not expecting to work on any Art for Inexorable in the coming weeks/months.

Once the main code-base for this game will be complete, I will be developing a unique art style and artistic identity for the game, which is also probably when the game will be revealed on YouTube and most other social media platforms. I will be perfectly transparent with you, I do not expect Inexorable to be ready before the year 2030. The “Dunes of Raeth” project still takes precedence in my books. Nonetheless, some real exciting stuff is coming your way, and depending on the studio’s expansion in the coming months and years, things might move faster than anticipated!

  • Veritas Per Artem

Really excited to announce a new track is coming on the label! Aurora by Coraldi is set to release on the 13th of July. You can pre-save the track by following this link.

A new project for the label has also been approved this week! “Techlipse Radio”, a monthly collection of tracks is set to be launched this month on the Official Veritas Per Artem YouTube channel. Bringing together some Aleexar classics, Coraldi specials, hidden bootlegs and edits…it’s all there! Looking forward to post the new stuff this week-end.

In the meantime, I hope you’re having a wonderful week and I can’t wait yo catch you again in July!
