Devlog - September 2025

Welcome to the September Devlog for Kalempirion Studios! This month has been all about new beginnings, with the creation of the KS-XIII imprint, transformation with the work on the big 2.0 patch for A Session with Dr. Liebnitz, and even re-birth with big new releases on Veritas Per Artem. Thank you for following along on this journey!

What The Studio has been working on:

  • Feature Development:
    • Huge overhaul of “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz”. 10+ bug-fixes, new mechanics, new achievements, with a lot more to come in the 2.0 update coming at the end of the year.
    • Level Design for “Dunes of Raeth”, with 2 new levels completed, more polish added to the Demo with bug-fixes, new dialogue features and UI. Expecting the demo to launch in 2026.
    • Beginning of Production on a new Project, code name “Home Sweet Home”. Looking forward to sharing more on this one, as it will be coming out some time in 2026, on the new KS-XIII label.
A session with Dr. Liebnitz Cover

  • Art & Design:
    • New concepts and simple designs for “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz”.
    • A brand-new method of texturing developed “in-house” allowing for a very quick process of mesh creation and texturing, with increased fidelity and artistic value. This new process will be highlighted in all new games coming after the 2.0 launch of “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz”.
    • New releases on Veritas Per Artem. Coraldi with “Aurora” and Aleexar with “Let It Flow”. Massive tunes, you can check them out on all streaming platforms!
    • New music video for “Let It Flow”. This is part of a new initiative together with the Veritas Per Artem label. The objective is to create a musical universe in a digital environment. This currently materialized via videos, but more interactive experiences are scheduled down the line.
  • The Challenges

    • Faced some technical challenges with the amount of data that needs to be transferred in order to run so many projects at the same time. Thankfully, the current studio setup is being updated which will massively help with this issue, as well as other productivity issues encountered down the line.
    • Getting the scope right for the “A Session with Dr. Liebnitz” 2.0 re-launch. It’s hard not to give in to the temptation of over-scoping this game. It will still be pretty tight to get everything across the line until the end of the year as it is, so getting the scoping right is absolutely essential in this case. Thankfully, a lot of feedback has been given recently on the project, which definitively helped in narrowing the scope.
    • Promotion for the new Veritas Per Artem releases. With a tight budget, it definitively is hard to get the tracks across, especially since the sound is quite unique. The current techno scene is pretty mainstream. The underground circuit really does seem to be suffering as of late. Nevertheless, the partnership between Veritas Per Artem and Kalempirion Studios 13, the upcoming releases on the label and the ongoing marketing campaign ran by the label will undoubtedly boost the visibility of the tracks being produced at the moment.
  • What the Boss is excited about:

“Really thrilled about the re-launch of A Session with Dr. Liebnitz. I was pleasantly surprised to see people reacted positively to the game. The message got through to some of the players in a very meaningful way. This is the cue to make a big push. To get the game and its message to as many people as possible. This means bug-fixes, localization, more attention to detail in the artistic department, more levels and achievements…the whole package! Looking forward to get all of this done in the coming months and weeks.”
