Welcome to this week’s weekly dose of Kalempirion. From updates to the Dunes of Raeth all the way to Sales and Soundtracks, this week’s packed with news!
First, let’s talk Dunes of Raeth!
After wrapping up pre-production, the early stages of production have been really exciting. As mentioned in the previous video Devlogs on the Kalempirion YouTube Channel, I started by making the Core Experience of the game. In the case of this 1st Person RPG, that means the movement of the character. The game’s come a long way since then, as new systems have been implemented. A questing and expansive dialogue system have been added to the game. These features really make me excited about this project. The game is set to have A LOT of distinct endings, as the story evolves with the player. Everything from quest paths, dialogue options, dialogue responses, companions, factions, just to name a few features, are linked to the choices made by the player. This will result in never before seen immersion and replayability for a full-fledged 1st person open-world RPG.
This last week, I’ve been expanding the questing system to link it to a Map and Mini-map. This is, of course, standard issue in an RPG. The inspiration for the map system comes from RDR2, a game that I consider to be a true masterpiece of gaming development. Will share more updates on these systems in the next Devlogs coming for this project, both on YouTube and on the Website’s Devlog Section.
